BLACK RAVEN is an Unmanned Systems Battalion within the legendary 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar.” We operate where others cannot endure, and every mission we carry out becomes part of the common victory.

Our main tasks are reconnaissance, fire engagement, logistics missions, and the full operational cycle of drone warfare: from maintenance and repairs to modernization and the implementation of new technologies.

The battalion constantly holds back enemy offensive actions on key eastern fronts. Where the fate of towns and villages is decided, we act quickly, precisely, and as one team — holding the line and staying one step ahead.

BLACK RAVEN has repeatedly ranked among the top units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces according to the “Army of Drones” project. This is more than recognition. It proves that we set the standard in the war of technologies and demonstrate that the modern army is built by those who can think and act unconventionally.

DYM

SENIOR LIEUTENANT. COMMANDER OF THE BLACK RAVEN UNMANNED SYSTEMS BATTALION

Illustration

Before the full-scale invasion, he was a private entrepreneur working in trade. He was mobilized on February 27, 2022. For two months, he served as a rifleman at a recruitment and manning center. In May, he joined the 93rd Brigade as part of the reconnaissance platoon of the 2nd Rifle Battalion. He fought in Kurulky and near Mala Komyshuvakha on the Izium front. From August, he served in Soledar. He studied aerial reconnaissance to effectively adjust artillery fire and locate enemy positions.

During the Bakhmut campaign, in October 2022, he became commander of a UAV squad. In March 2023, he became commander of the battalion reconnaissance platoon, adjusting mortar fire and tank fire from concealed positions. At the same time, the platoon began flying in support of the brigade and helped establish aerial reconnaissance practices across battalions.

In October 2023, he received an officer rank and took command of an attack drone company. He began building FPV drone teams — kamikaze drones and bombers — and introduced night bombers, reconnaissance fixed-wings, and strike fixed-wings into operations.
